Meet Dr. Michael Theurer
Michael Theurer, DDS
It is such a privilege to see how an incredible smile changes people’s feelings about themselves and how their lives change as opportunities are opened to them. Knowing that in some small way I was a part of that makes my job truly rewarding.
Education and Continuing Education
To become an orthodontist, I attained the following educational certificates:
- Bachelor of Science, Utah State University, 1978
- Master of Education Administration, Brigham Young University, 1982
- Doctor of Dental Surgery, University of the Pacific, 1985
- Orthodontic Certification, Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine, 1988
Although my formal dental education is complete, I always attend more than 50 hours of continuing education each year. The courses I take allow me to stay current with the latest developments in orthodontic care, ensuring our patients always get the most up-to-date methods of treating their orthodontic needs.
In the Practice
Those who seek orthodontic care are concerned about themselves, both in their appearance and the maintenance of their teeth. No matter their age, all our patients are young at heart and have an enthusiasm for life that I share. It makes people feel so much better about themselves when they have an incredible smile. It truly allows them to fulfill their dreams through the power of their smile!
I love serving the people of our community! In my practice, we are sponsors of every community activity and school team that approaches us. We have been doing this for 24 years.
Our patients tell us our office is the second happiest place on earth, next to Disneyland! In my practice, we have great music and a game room for all ages. We provide a fun, happy, upbeat place to just hang out!
The office team are incredible people and exceptionally skilled in their responsibilities. The staff has a combined 179 years of orthodontic experience, ranging from five to 32 years. They work with people exceptionally well, inlcuding healthy, happy patients to ones with health issues or Down syndrome. Our team is exceptionally understanding, empathetic and are just kind, good people. They love to have fun!
Family Life
I was raised in northern Utah, but most of my adult life has been in California. For the past 24 years, I have called Lancaster my home. I am married to my wonderful wife, and we have two sons and a daughter. Our kids are all grown, with the youngest in college. My wife and I don’t quite have an “empty nest” yet, as our house is shared by our Golden Retriever!
In my spare time, I enjoy doing anything that is outdoorsy, including hiking, biking, golf, hanging out in the sun, scuba diving, snow skiing, snowboarding, and surfing! I’m also an avid reader and a couch potato when it comes to professional sports.
